Mixamo
Casey worked as a freelance programmer and writer for the Adobe company, Mixamo. Mixamo was developing it's own tools to bring their 3D models to life in a filmmaking suite, the Source Filmmaker. Casey worked with a team of 3-5 members hand-picked by from the vast Source Filmmaker community to help develop a workflow to move characters from Mixamo's Fuse program into the aforementioned suite.
Casey helped create scripts in Python and MEL for Blender and Maya respectively, so that the models could be automated on a user's machine directly into the Source Filmmaker. He also helped produce documentation for public use, that was eventually integrated into Mixamo's backend. Overall, Casey's contributions to the program were substantial and his instructions on how to move models over were clear and concise, and Mixamo continued to use that same workflow many years later. Casey's work, Elements, was also featured in Mixamo's GDC 2015 Reel.
