Elements

Elements was a pitch for a web series created by Casey, produced between 2012 and 2014. Elements tells the story of Sarah, a girl stuck in a cyberpunk-esque world, who with the help of Ted, her only friend in the city, tries to help her leave the city before a rebellion rises and puts both their lives at risk.

On Elements, Casey was the director, writer, and cinematographer for the film, and was also an artist, editor, and animator. Casey was involved in every step of the filmmaking process, leading his team to produce fantastic short film on time for the IndieGoGo campaign in 2014. Beyond the trailer, an internal 5 minute pitch was also produced, but never released to the public, and scripts for some of the episodes were also finished. These were all headlined by Casey.

Elements is one of Casey's proudest achievements, as it shows not only how incredibly diverse his skillset is, but it also shows what he can do together with a team. It also portrays his creativity and ingenuity, as well as his love for technology. He used a very unique software for the film, Valve's Source Filmmaker, which allows creators to produce films in Valve's Source game engine. He was able to render the film in real-time, and his skills from game development carried over into film production. Beyond that, it was also his first time animating, and after working with an incredible animation team, he has since gone on numerous other productions as an assistant animator, developing a passion for 2D and 3D animation in the process.
